Owned and operated by the Cambridge family, Honey
Dew Acres LLC is a full-service boarding and training facility
situated on 200 acres in Northern New York. We have a large
assortment of lesson and competition horses ranging from Shetland
ponies to drafts. Our interests include eventing, hunters/jumpers,
dressage, western, side-saddle and driving. It is our belief that
good riding is good riding (no matter the tack), so we teach a basic
balanced position and students are encouraged to try different
disciplines.
Located in Canton, New York, we are just a few miles drive to any of
the four area colleges (SUNY Canton, SUNY Potsdam, Clarkson and St.
Lawrence universities). We are only 40 minutes from the Canadian
border, conveniently sandwiched between the Adirondack Mountains and
the beautifully-scenic St. Lawrence River.

Mission Statement
Honey Dew Acres LLC is a family-operated Equestrian
facility that offers lessons, boarding and training. Our motto is
"Fun, Friendship and Safety." Our goal is to provide a healthy and
happy atmosphere for our horses and riders. We are able to
accommodate various skill levels, abilities, interests and
disciplines. We encourage our customers to be independent thinkers,
problem solvers, responsible individuals and team players.

Head Instructor is among Top 50
in Country
HDA's head instructor, Emily Cambridge Carrier, was
awarded Top 50 Riding Instructor in the Country, as well as 2007
Instructor of the Year - Circle of Honor Status.
At HDA, students gain:
● a solid foundation in the basics of riding that are essential for
having a safe and enjoyable time horseback.
● an understanding of the nature of the horse and how to work with
the horse to accomplish riding goals.
● how to safely care for the horse, both mounted and unmounted.
