Yabba Dabba Doo

"Yabba" is an 11.3 hand Welsh pony. He rides english, western, and drives too. Yabba can jump 2'6", which is pretty high considering that he's pretty small!
Bah Humbug

"Humbug" is a strawberry roan Welsh/Haflinger cross pony. He is Snicker's brother. Together they make a great driving team. Humbug like to move forward a little more than Snickers.
Chickaboom

"Boomer" is a mustang pony who looks like Spirit! He is still in training.
Sam I Am

"Sam" is Emily's old competition horse. Together they have won lots of ribbons and have jumped the big jumps (3'6"). Now Sam is a favorite lesson horse. He is only 5/8 of an inch too tall to be a pony.
Bold

"Bold" was one of the favorite lesson horses at HDA. Melissa Godin now owns him. Bold went to Cornell Veterinary Hospital in late fall of '08 and spent 2 months there, where he had a Tracheotomy (which means that they made a hole in his neck for him to breathe through). Bold is going to be featured in a book titled "The Horse That Saved My Life," which will be out in print later this year.
Memorial Star

"Baby" is HDA's heaviest draft horse, weighing 1800 pounds. She is a Percheron/Belgian cross. Although Baby was not born on our farm, we have had her since she was 11 months old. Tania has trained her to drive, ride english, western, and sidesaddle. Every year Baby brings home lots of ribbons from the local draft horse show. She has even gone to compete at the NY State Fair. Baby also jumps. Many students enjoy taking her to the x-country jumping field and riding her in their first Event at HDA. Check out Baby's Website.

Current Reality

"Chunk" is a 16.1 hand Thoroughbred gelding. Originally purchased as a competition horse for Emily, we soon realized that he likes doing lesson! He has a slow and steady, yet slightly bouncy trot.

FireFly

"Duey" is Damselfly's son. He was born on the farm. He was originally trained as a driving pony, but after being trained to ride, he has now become a good lesson pony.

Rock of Ages

"Rocky" is a Belgian/Paint cross (half-draft). Originally found in a farmer's field, he soon became Tania's competition horse. She has competed him in eventing and jumpers extensively throughout NY, Canada, VT, and Pennsylvania. Although Rocky can jump 4', he is a gentle giant and is also very good for the beginner rider.

Guido

Guido is a relatively new horse to Honey Dew Acres. Guido was bought as a competition horse for Emily.  He will be Emily's Competition horse this summer.  He also does lessons. He is about 16 years old and is very, very tall (17h). He has 4 white stockings and some white splotches on his belly.

Snickerdoodles

"Snickers" is a Welsh/Haflinger cross pony (draft pony). Snickers is trained to drive single or as a pair with his brother, Humbug. Snickers also does lessons. He tends to be a little lazy.

Ivy League
"Ivy" is a Thoroughbred mare. She has never raced, and her quiet attitude has made her a great addition to our lesson program.
Daddy Said No
"Nome" is a 15.3 black bay thoroughbred gelding. Nome is one of Tania's competition horses, but he also enjoys doing lessons. Nome excels in the hunter ring.

An American Tale

"Fievel" is a 14.1 hand grey Welsh/Morgan pony. He is very well trained and loves to jump. He is also very smart. Several times now he has won the Novice level division in our Frosty Pumpkin Event. Fievel has been leased out for a year to Margaret McKernan at "The Pony Place".

Morning Phyre

"MuleGirl" (aka. "MuMu") is a 15 hand registered American Quarter horse. MuMu has very steady gaits, which makes her enjoyable to ride. MuleGirl is also very good for eventing, because she puts in a very steady dressage test, as well as good x-country and stadium jumping rounds.

Artful Dodger
"Dodger" is a very large 14.1 hand Haflinger (draft) pony. He works very well in the beginner lesson program both for adults as well as children. He also drives with his brother Fagan.

Fagan

"Fagan" is Dodger's brother. He is a little more forward than Dodger, and he loves to jump.

Bluto
"Bluto" is a 17.2 hand Belgian draft horse. His color is sorrel (light reddish brown). He is puppydog friendly.

Bo

"Bo" is an ex-Amish Buggy driving horse. We use him mostly for driving lessons and sleigh rides, although he is trained for riding as well.

Doodle Bug "Doodlebug" is a 14 hand Piebald Pinto pony gelding. He will begin training in the spring.

Jelly Bean "Jelly" is a large bay pony mare. She is quiet to ride.

Reed Reed is a 23-year-old Quarter Horse gelding with very small ears.

Sail Warning "Sail" is a chestnut Thoroughbred mare off the race track. She is probably the only Honey Dew horse that you will never see being ridden. Sail is a sweet mare and will hopefully be foaling a baby in 2010.

Summer Surprise "Summer" is a large pony. He is very relaxed and does beginner lessons from walk/trot to beginning canter and jumping. Summer is a very likeable pony.

Tall Dark and Handsome "TDH" is a 15.1 hand dark bay Welsh/Mustang cross gelding. He is one of Emily's favorite horses.

Winter Storm
"Stormy" is a very smart Appaloosa gelding.

Bailey Be Good

"Bailey" is an 12.1 hand bay Welsh pony. He is a good pony to begin cantering and jumping on. He is also a good Pony Club games pony.

Mustang Sally
"Sally" is a 14 hand black mustang pony. She is great to ride, especially on the trail. Sally has a smooth canter which helps to make learning how to canter easy.

Cocoa Mae Reed
"Reed" is a silver bay Quarter horse with very small ears. Since we've owned him, we have discovered that Reed is deaf. He is a great beginner western pleasure horse.

Danny Boy
"Danny" is a 15.2 hand bay Quarter horse/Standardbred cross gelding. He's had some great training both on the flat and jumping.

Kodiak
"Kodiak" is HDA's tallest horse. He is a 17.3 hand dark bay Belgian/Thoroughbred cross gelding. Tania loves riding Kodiak. She hopes to compete him this year.
