Honey Dew Acres' History

Honey Dew Acres was founded out of our love of horses, children and horse sports. We started our lesson program on our 3-acre farm (635 Butternut Ridge Road, Canton) in 1999 and have continued to grow ever since.  In the fall of 2005, HDA moved to 169 Post Road, Canton. A much anticipated expansion, the farm boasts 200+ acres providing us with much needed turn-out, riding and driving space.  Of course, with a bigger farm comes the much, needed bigger barn!  Check out our facilities

Prior to our lesson program, we had been heavily involved with Northern Exposure Pony Club (NEPC) and had loaned pony-clubbers our horses for pony club lessons, ratings and competitions. We are still involved with NEPC.  Pony clubbers can still be seen sitting on our horses and ponies during mounted meetings.  As for the name "Honey Dew Acres", it was really quite simple. Have you every heard the phrase "Honey do this and Honey do that?" And thus a farm name was born.
